name is Meagan Chappell, and I am the 2007 USA Power Lifting Women's Teenage
National Champion.
I hold 8 Alabama state records and hold the state titles for Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. I also hold the unofficial American Dead Lift record at 380.3 lbs (I am currently waiting for the results from the Alabama State Power Lifting Championships to be certified). In winning the national title, I have been selected as a member of the USA Power Lifting Team and will be participating in the North America's Power Lifting Championship to be held in Guatemala City, Guatemala, June 20 – 24, 2007.
I am also waiting to see if I qualify for the World Championships in Paris, France. The team is comprised of only 5 girls out of several hundred teenage female lifters. It is hard for me to believe that I, a girl from Eastaboga, Alabama, have met the requirements for this honor, to represent my country! In order for me to wear the USA team uniform I need your help financially. The anticipated cost of both of these trips total approximately $10,000 which will pay for my entry fees, drug testing, uniform, equipment, transportation, housing, training, meals, etc. If you would like to support me in the pursuit of becoming a part of Team USA please send contributions to:
